A: A volunteer is someone who chooses to act in recognition of a need, with an attitude of social responsibility and without concern for monetary profit.
A: Volunteer if you want to:

- demonstrate to a cause or a belief
- donate your professional skills
- fill up some free time
- make new friends
- give back to an organization that serves you
- try a new vocation and learn new skills
- volunteering is good for your health (experience emotional and physical responses while helping others -

Q: What kind of opportunities are there?

- completing the application
- consent to a background check
- mail or fax both forms to our office (see "Contact Us" for delivery options)
- you will be contacted by our training officer
- attend a personal interview

- take a TB skin test free of charge
A: All Northside-Forsyth Hospital Volunteers are required to be members of the Auxiliary, attend an orientation, purchase a volunteer uniform to wear while on duty and pay an annual dues. In addition, a once a week, four-hour commitment to your assigned service is required.
A: Mature, responsible teens over age 14 may apply for a limited number of positions in the volunteer program. This summer experience helps young people explore health careers while developing a sense of self worth.
